PROJECT TITLE:

FEASIBILITY STUDIES FOR PROMOTION OF TOURISM IN BALOCHISTAN PSDP NO. Z2019.0121 (2019-20)

CLIENT:

DIRECTORATE OF TOURISM DEPARTMENT OF CULTURE, TOURISM & ARCHIVES GOVERNMENT OF BALOCHISTAN

SCOPE OF SERVICES

1. Conduct literature review including best models of establishing tourist and tourism facilities.
2. Preservation of cave city site.
3. Making of an Archaeological review of the site to provide a basic insight to the tourists.
4. Conducting a detailed study for the remaining conservation if need internally or externally.
5. Mapping of the whole site with its utmost extent.
6. Conducting a study for an Archaeological survey so that the scope of each cave is brought into light
7. Protection of antiquities & wall paintings, if found during the survey.
8. Draft a tourism policy for the whole Balochistan and particularly Heritage Tourism.
9. Perform site selection analysis and suggest best suited site.
10. Assess need of the private sector.
11. Analyze requirement of local and national intervention.
12. Conduct detailed feasibility study covering economic, financial, technical and
environmental aspects in particular.
13. If the findings of the study are positive, suggesting its establishment, proposed design,
model and master plan.
14. Workout of all infrastructure and preservation requirements.
15. Study contemporary models of such intervention and then suggest institutional
mechanism to its management.
16. Study public private partnership and make suggestion on development.
17. Conduct detailed analysis for investment required.
18. Consultant shall perform the services and carry out and their obligation with all due diligence, efficiently in accordance with generally accepted professional techniques and practices.
19. Consultant shall always act in respect of any matter relating to this contract as faithful advices to the Directorate of Tourism, Department of Culture, Tourism and Archives (CTA), and shall at all the times support and safeguard the interest of the Government of Balochistan.
20. To design a plan for successful long term community engagement.
21. To work closely with Directorate of Tourism, Department of CTA, Government of Balochistan and other stakeholders.
22. To identify and incorporate the relevant laws of taxation, tourism and environment and various components of project.
23. To connect the master plan with current and projected tourism trends applicable to Balochistan.
24. Consultant shall assess the accessibility of the project from various areas/angles of Balochistan.
25. Any other Tasks assigned by the Directorate/Department of CTA.

MASTER PLANNING FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MAI PIR VALLEY AS MAJOR TOURIST SITE

PROJECT TILTLE:

BALOCHISTAN COASTAL BELT (GAWADAR AND LASBELLA) MULTI-HAZARD VULNERABILITY AND RISK ASSESSMENT (MHVRA)

CLIENT:
GOVERNMENT OF BALOCHISTAN PROVINCIAL DISASTER MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY, BALOCHISTAN

OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) intends to undertake a strategic multi hazard risk identification exercise to identify gaps and outline priority areas of investment and to make disaster resilience plans at coastal belt districts to meet the critical needs over the medium to long-term for enhanced disaster and climate resilience.
The proposed assignment seeks to support the Government of Balochistan in undertaking the Multi hazard Vulnerability Risk Assessment (MHVRA) at coastal belt districts and preparation of a comprehensive Disaster Risk Reduction and Disaster Risk Management plans at Coastal belt i.e. Gwadar and Lasbela districts. The key areas to be covered under the assignment include the following:

• Multi Hazard Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (MHVRA) for the Coastal Belt i.e. Gwadar and Lasbella districts
• Disaster risk reduction and disaster risk management plan in District Gwadar and Lasbella
• Institutional / historical data review for disaster resilient coastal belt of Balochistan.
